Description
In 2001 Cal Ripken Jr. made his farewell tour, leaving a lasting impression as he homered in his final appearance at the All-Star-Game, where he was named MVP and awarded the Commissioners’ Historic Achievement Award. The Orioles honored Ripken with a patch tracing his career in the game, and remembered the victims of 9/11 with American Flag patches worn on their backs, helping to reestablish the strength and unity among Americans.
