Chicago White Sox 1959 Home light weight wool flannel blend jersey # 11
In 1959, the Chicago White Sox featured one of the greatest middle infield combinations in the history of baseball. Luis Aparicio protected the left side of the Go Go Sox infield. ‘Little Louie’ made the White Sox roster in 1956, continuing the wave of Venezuelan shortstops on the South Side. The White Sox captured the 1959 American League Pennant, taking it to Los Angeles to play the Dodgers in the first West Coast World Series. The Dodgers, who played their home games at the Los Angeles Coliseum, won the World Series in six games.
