The year 1968 marked the Susquentenial Anniversary of Illinois’s statehood. The White Sox wore a patch on their jersey to commemorate the historic occasion. Luis Aparicio returned to the South Side after spending five seasons in Baltimore, helping them win the 1966 World Series against the Los Angeles Dodgers. 'Little Louie' swiped 17 of his career 506 stolen bases while wearing this uniquely distinguished home uniform during the 1968 season.
