Description
The 1964 St. Louis Cardinals captured the National League pennant on the final day of the season by catching the falling Philadelphia Phillies. Midway into the season the Cardinals acquired Lou Brock from the Chicago Cubs. Brock was a threat on the base paths as he stole 43 bases. The Cardinals went on to beat the New York Yankees in the seventh and decisive game of the World Series.
